It has been irrefutably proven in federal court that Big Tobacco spends billions of dollars every year on marketing to encourage young people to try cigarette products [so they can] provide the replacement smokers their business needs to survive.
Why do they need replacements? Because their customers are dying early due to tobacco-related diseases. Congratulations to Price Chopper for covering and/or removing the displays and advertising on tobacco products and keeping their young customers safe from the persuasive and deadly marketing tactics of tobacco companies.
I applaud the efforts of Price Chopper and hope that perhaps someday the Golub family, like Wegmans, will make the wise decision to stop selling cigarettes and tobacco products altogether.
